how a team consisting of the architect, designer and client collaborated
to create the clients' vision: zen, organic, simple, comfortable.
This home, belonging to an artist and her husband, was remodeled with the
art in focus: dramatic lighting emphasizes large ceramic pieces and the
owners' collection, and helps delineate the new kitchen and entertainment
spaces. The paired down palette of blackened steel, cherry wood, granite
and sandstone countertops, and slate tile create a monochromatic backdrop
on which to showcase art.

The design was inspired by the Colorado vernacular style with the aim of
creating a modem barn-like home. The interior is a combination of loft-like
